The exhibition offers a journey through the past and present of textile printing in Matar\u00f3, an activity developed almost uninterruptedly from the mid-18th century to the present. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to this activity, the city became the second Catalan capital for the manufacture of Indianas at the end of the 18th century and the first in Spain for the printing of knitwear in the 20th century. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition is the result of a research project promoted by the Matar\u00f3 Museum and curated by Dr. Assumpta Dangla, with the aim of highlighting a key industrial activity for the local economic and cultural history. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the course of 280 years, the evolution of a sector that integrates science, technology, art and design is shown, through pieces from the Museum and other institutions.
